Super Bowl

I do not normally watch football, but watched the game Sunday. It actually was a good game, and was well worth watching. The two teams actually played some football. I was glad to see runs and passing. Not your normal getting a few yards at a time thing.
What I was disappointed in was the half time show. Bruce Springsteen's performance sucked. Or was it just the mike mixing that sucked. I could barely make out the words he was singing. I am not a big fan of his but I do like the music that he has done. I just don't thing that it gig him justice. Costas' tete-a-tete with Springsteen was entertaining, with pop-culture maven Costas asking The Boss why he chose to do the halftime show this year after being asked numerous times before. "I have an album to promote, dummy," Springsteen cackled. "It's not rocket science."

How about the ads, most were real innovative and new, it should for what NBC was charging them for the spots. Really liked the BUD horse commercial as always. Even thogh they arte not American owned anymore.

InBev Completes Acquisition of Anheuser-Busch
Nov. 18, 2008
BRUSSELS, Belgium and ST. LOUIS (Nov. 18) – InBev announced today that it has completed its acquisition of Anheuser-Busch following approval from shareholders of both companies. The combination creates the global leader in beer and one of the world's top five consumer products companies. Under the terms of the merger agreement, all shares of Anheuser-Busch will be acquired for $70 per share in cash, for an aggregate of $52 billion.

Well that's my two cents worth on it.
NBC announced it has sold all of its available ad spots for the network's Super Bowl telecast today. The network generated a record $206 million in advertising revenue for the game telecast and $261 million for the entire day, NBC announced.
