Driver Critically Injured In Wreck

AN AMERICAN MEDICAL RESPONSE (AMR) driver is in critcal condition following a collision between his transport ambulance and an automobile on I-95 in Boynton Beach, Florida, on Monday.
Police say that the ambulance driver, who was the only passenger in the van, tried to cut across a traffic lane while trying to make a last-second maneuver to get onto an exit ramp. While cutting over, he sideswiped the other car and then went out of control, smashing into a concrete barrier and rolling over.
The driver ended up with his arm pinned between the van and the pavement. Boynton Beach Fire & Rescue cut the roof off of the van to get to the patient who was then airlifted to the hospital. Latest report says that he will probably lose his left arm as a result.
