Mississippi Firefighter Dies Battling Blaze
Richard Lee Montgomery was described by dozens of people on Saturday as a dedicated and unselfish hero.
Montgomery, a captain of the Pisgah Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Hobo Volunteer Fire Department, was laid to rest laid to rest with honor at Oaklawn Memorial Park by many colleagues, friends and family. He died on New Year's Eve while fighting a house fire in Marietta. » Read More

Oklahoma Firefighter Dies in Crash
A rural firefighter was killed Saturday afternoon after being involved in a head-on collision with his son as they fought to extinguish a grass fire, officials said.
Firefighter John C. Myers, 61, of Pittsburg was driving a Wesley Fire Department truck south on a county road 13 miles east of U.S. 69 in Atoka County at 3:20 p.m. when he collided with Juston Myers, 31, of Pittsburg, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported. »
