A firefighter has been killed in Crossville, Alabama after becoming trapped in a house fire.
A spokesperson with the Dekalb County Emergency Management Agency in northeast Alabama said the Crossville VFD was first due on a house fire early this afternoon.
There were few details available, but Cody Renfroe, 24, perished in the blaze. It apparently took some time to recover his body. He was declared dead at the scene.
